Step by step to change Toyota Headlights
- Open the bonnet and then prop it up.
- Many body clips are found within the engine bay, on top of the grille. Remove all of them.
- Remove the cover and set it aside.
- Where the cover used to be, there are three more body clips. Remove all of them.
- Lift the vehicle’s front end and use jack stands to support it.
- The undercarriage splash shield is kept in place by a few 10mm bolts. Remove all of them.
- Disconnect the fog lamp from the circuit. Once you remove the splash shield, you’ll see the harness.
- Make your way to the fender well (on the side of the bad headlight assembly). The screws that hold the fender liner in place must be removed.
- Place the fender liner aside after removing it.
- On the other side, repeat this same procedure.
- Pull the front bumper off with caution.
- The headlight assembly is held in place by three-body clips. Two are on the top, and one is on foot. Remove all of them.
- All the bolts that keep the headlight assembly in place should be removed. Remember to look under the assembly as well.
- All wires from the headlight assembly should be disconnected.
- Replace the new headlight assembly in the same order as the bad one was removed.
